Spiva Center for the Arts – The Hair Games: A Fantasy Hair Show

Hair Show

Imagine runway fashion models with hair sculpted into bizarre, gravity-defying shapes created with hot glue, chicken wire and miles of hair extensions. Welcome to The Hair Games: A Fantasy Hair Show, the ultimate challenge in avant garde hair design!

This will be a show like none before in the Four State Area. Professional hair stylists, beauty school students and salons from throughout the Midwest are invited to test their styling skills as they create not only fantastically exotic hair designs, but a dynamic vision from head to toe.

Contestants will compete in two categories: professional and student/non-professional. Team entries are welcome in both categories.

Contestants will compete for a $1,000 cash first prize in the professional category and an $800 cash first prize in the student/non-professional category. Winners in both will also receive portfolio packages provided by a professional fashion photographer.

Judges from the fashion, photography and creative industries will critique the contenders for creativity in hair, makeup and overall look as they decide who takes home the prize for producing the embodiment of hair fantasy. For tickets, registration, and more info, visit spivahairshow.org
