Missouri Southern State University has chosen Spain (or España) for this semesters theme! MSSU has been theming their semesters since 1997…but why? “Although enabling students to study abroad is one thrust of the internationalization efforts at MSSU, many have financial or family obligations that prohibit them from participating in the experience. The unique concept of focusing the fall semester on a particular country or continent was devised as a way to bring the world to every student at the university.”
We couldn’t be more excited for all of the cultural offerings planned for the Spain semester – lectures, performances, art exhibits, and more! And guess what’s the best part? The majority of these offerings are free and open to the public! Click here to browse through MSSU’s Spain semester. For more information contact Dr. Chad Stebbins (Director, Institute of International Studies) by phone 417-625-9736 or email email@example.com.

A couple weeks ago, Connect2Culture led a group of NALA (Neighborhood Adult Literacy Action) students on a walking tour of Downtown Murals. It was a blast! The tour was designed specifically for NALA, and included murals from 1st to 8th on Main Street (a few on Wall and one on Virginia…we covered A LOT of ground). C2C would love to give your group or class a tour of any sector of public art in Joplin. Contact Emily at email@example.com or by phone 417-625-6683 to schedule your public art tour in Joplin today!
