Artist Statement: Completed between July and November of 2018, artist Eric Haun’s bottlecap murals were truly a labor of love. The four murals include more than 7,500 bottlecaps collected from area recycling centers and local restaurants and bars. While each mural depicts different items, Haun considers all a gift to the community and a way to enrich Joplin. Route 66, LOVE & FLOWERS, Iris & Butterfly, and 417 & 7 Towns Within can be viewed in Joplin’s Artist Alley.
