Description: Pencils and Paper is meant to be more than an eye-catching piece of public art. Artist Taylor Kubicek stated the mural is “a metaphorical depiction of the lifespan of ideas.” Each idea is represented by paper airplanes, which grow, take shape, and begin to soar towards their final destination. However, not every idea completes the journey. Critiques, symbolized by pencils, strike some ideas down while leaving others aloft.
