Joplin Arts Fest BIPOC Scholarship Application Process

May 15 - June 25

Joplin Arts Fest is Southwest Missouri’s premier fall arts festival – and artists who identify as Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Color (BIPOC) are invited to be a part of it with this special opportunity! With the help of Downtown Joplin Alliance, the Joplin Arts Fest committee seeks to lift up perspectives that are often left unheard due to a historic lack of access and remove potential barriers to entry. Joplin Arts Fest applicants who identify as Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Color can use the code JAFSC to waive the application fee and one applicant will receive a $500 scholarship to cover the cost of participating in the festival (i.e. booth fee, food, gas, setup, lodging, etc.). This year’s festival will be at the Joplin Empire Market on Friday, September 16, 2022 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 10:00am to 3:00pm. Visit zapplication.org/event-info.php?ID=10243 for additional details or to apply.
